So I feel like 2010 was a definitive year for K-pop, there was a lot of good but also a decent amount of bad. But K-pop is something that I love and really truly enjoy; one of my favorite things about the asian music scene is how they can all really sing, dance, and just perform live. The American music scene doesn’t value this and its always bothered me that we don’t really care if our pop singers can actually sing well live. So I’ve tried to compile my favorite performances from this year; a lot of these are comebacks or debuts. I feel like thats when you get to see the best of the group because its the very first performance and they are not super tired or overworked yet. I hope you enjoy these performances and are excited to see what will be new in the world of kpop in 2011!!!!

SS501

Watching this makes me miss them!! But I really cannot wait for their solo albums!! My favorite part of this is just the contrast between the ballad and the dance track. It shows their diversity; I feel like a lot of groups pick two dance tracks for their comebacks so I really liked that SS501 chose two different styles to showcase their talent! And of course they look hot as usual!!

B2ST

This was such an amazing year for B2ST, they wen’t from being not very well known to being one of the best!! I love them and I chose to post the Shock Comeback Stage because the choreography and vocals are so tricky to do live. But they do it amazingly well and I really enjoy watching B2ST!!

4Minute

These girls had a killer comeback last May. I really like their music and style and I really hope their Japan promotions will continue to go well!! And that they will soon comeback with a Korean single because I miss them!!

Super Junior

I really love the energy that Super Junior has one stage, you would think that with that many members it would seem sloppy but they pull it off quite well. I’m always so impressed with how in sync all of their choreography is; they are a really great group and I hope they can continue to do really well! I feel like 2010 has been a more difficult year for them so I really do wish them the best for new year!!

F(x)

So I initially wasn’t thrilled with Nu Abo, but I saw a live performance of this song and honestly I regretted ever doubting F(x)’s talent. They are amazing performers and I really hope that 2011 will go really well for them. Maybe we’ll even get a full album from them, but before any of that I would really like Amber to comeback!!! I’m really hoping she’s doing well and is recovering from what ever injury she had!!

Teen Top

So I find these boys to be adorable!!! I cannot wait for their comeback in January, they were my favorite male rookie group of 2010!! Teen Top fighting!!!

Narsha

I’ve never been a huge fan of BEG but I love Narsha’s solo music!! Her music is very different and her style is just amazing!! Love her and hoping she does more solo work in 2011!!

Lee Hyori

I love her!! She is so confident and just naturally beautiful and such a fabulous performer!!

BOA

She is an amazingly superbly fantastic performer!! Watching her perform is just enjoyable and she looks so relaxed when she is performing. Love it!!! I hope her Japanese promotions continue to go well!!

SHINEE

Probably my favorite performance of the year was watching the Lucifer performances. The energy that SHINEE has onstage always amazes me and I really love watching them!!

GD & T.O.P.

I loved this performance, I stayed up all night to watch this MAMA performance and they did not disappoint!! I love the energy in this performance, especially G-Dragon’s energy. His swagger in this is untouchable, he is adorable!!!

2NE1

I loved 2NE1’s three comeback songs!! But for this I’m only picking one of those performances and I love the Go Away performance because if you watch 2NE1 TV you find out that they created the dance literally hours before their comeback!! So impressive!! 2NE1 fighting!!!

So this post could be so much longer!!! I hate that I’m stopping it here but I think that this is enough for now!! I really do love the performances that I’ve put in this blog and I hope you enjoy them too!!!
